What does Terrorism teach us about humanity?

The bombing in Paris is simply horrific.  Brussels is virtually shut down.  We live at a time of fear for safety in every day normal activities.  We speak about people being radicalized.

How do we look at people different from us?  Do we make assumptions based on race, criminal status, religion, or any other criteria?  Perhaps instead of talking about people being radicalized, we can focus on how all of us are much more alike than different.  Each person has a unique history and way of viewing the world, but we all strive for the goal of making the world a better place.  When we stop to listen to others, we may start to find some of that inner peace.
