JUST OUT OF PRISON

My wife and I are experiencing very directly what it is like to get out of prison.  A friend who spent the last 6 1/2 years in prison was released last week.  His plan to stay in a motel was sabotaged by authorities who called the hotel to say a sex offender was residing there.  Consequently he is staying with us until he can find suitable housing.  It is a sad commentary that we seem to assume the worst in people rather than expecting the best.  I find that all too often we end up getting what we expected.
